Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues and Clients,

Every year I sit down at my desk to write my Holiday letter to you. I think about all of your home buying and selling experiences, all of our time together (the good, bad and ugly), and what you bring to my life. I try to put all of my thoughts into a small, 1/2 page letter (so not to bore you), then include a small token in the letter as a gift (usually a calendar). In the world of Real Estate, the idea behind sending tokens, such as calendars and pens is so your clients, friends and family will be reminded of you throughout the year. Then, hopefully they will refer you business because you are in their thoughts when the opportune time comes for a referral.

Are you tired of the calendars? Does it really make an impact on life and the world to see my face on a calendar? Is that really what makes you send your friends and loved ones to me, so I can help them buy and sell their homes? I am fairly certain the answer to all of these questions is “no.” What I do know is that I spend A LOT of money printing little calendars, and letters, and envelopes, and stamps. Eventually, you throw it all away. What a waste…

This year, I sat down at my desk, and thought about you and your lives. I thought about the fun, laughter, tears and excitement we’ve shared, and thought…why waste anything?

So for my client gifts this year, I have chosen to donate in YOUR HONOR. Because you have referred your friends and family to me, and because you have trusted me as your Realtor, I was able to do this:
1. Donate $1,800 worth of school supplies to American children in need
2. Donate $3,000 worth of necessities to American families in need
3. Fund business loans for 3 women in 3rd world countries
4. Provide safety for 3 formerly sexually exploited children
5. Provide 3 shares of deep well fresh drinking water to families in 3rd world countries
6. Provide 13 farm animals to families around the world
All donations through World Vision.

You will not receive your calendars and letters in the mail this year. Are you angry with me? Will you miss them terribly? If you are truly upset, you know I will make it up to you with Starbucks! Call me for coffee, and I’ll make you a custom calendar of your own this year. Merry Festivus! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy New Year!
